The Dermatology Health & Science Specialist is responsible for launching new products, deciding upon best strategies to manage business relationships, understanding formulary access, and engaging in product promotion within assigned accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and implement the most efficient virtual and in‑person engagement strategies to maximize effectiveness and impact.
  • Develop and implement effective business and territory call plans and adapt based on self‑identified opportunities and insights.
  • Build rapport and relationships with customers across virtual and face‑to‑face environments; maintain a methodical approach toward call objectives, including clear next steps, appropriate documentation, and KPI management.
  • Utilize digital tools effectively (e.g., Veeva Engage, Zoom, Microsoft Office) and quickly adapt to new or beta tools (e.g., digital triage app) for successful customer engagement.
  • Leverage analytics to develop insights and next‑best action plans.
  • Deliver relevant, targeted messaging via customer engagement to drive product demand, influencing prescribing behavior and driving positive business outcomes.
  • Provide insights for the development of new and innovative approved product messaging and resources.
  • Use product and disease‑state knowledge to educate providers on unbranded and branded product value propositions for relevant patient populations, applying approved clinically oriented disease‑state information.
  • Work effectively with healthcare professionals, directing office staff to plan for customer engagements in multiple formats.
  • Deploy approved Pfizer resources to support provider and patient needs (samples, vouchers, co‑pay resources, patient education) across multiple virtual engagement platforms, integrating guidance from marketing, strategy, and technical functions into pre‑call planning.
  • Support patients’ access to Pfizer products by providing information on reimbursement, Patient Assistant Program, Pfizer Hub programs, and co‑pay resources.
  • Present terms of sale and contract terms where appropriate, answer on‑label questions, and introduce customers to the future state Pfizer on‑demand portal (Galaxy) with targeted content.
  • Collaborate compliantly with cross‑functional colleagues—Field Medical, Reimbursement, Key Account Management—to address customer inquiries and advance Pfizer objectives.
  • Use triaging protocols and digital apps to rapidly connect customers with appropriate subject‑matter experts.
  • Use calendaring tools, leadership goals, and personal insights to address customer priorities and bring customer‑survey insights to leadership to improve the model.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/promotional/sales experience, including a promoted or developmental role with demonstrated leadership across peer groups; or an associate’s degree with 8+ years of experience; or a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • History of marketing, promotional, or sales success; strong territory management skills; outstanding communications skills; teamwork, leadership, and accountability.
  • Must live within 50 miles of the territory, possess a valid U.S. driver’s license, and maintain a driving record in compliance with company standards; any DUI/DWI or other impaired‑driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify the applicant.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of specialty marketing/promotional/sales experience in dermatology.
  • Strong knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products; deep knowledge of HCPs and markets.
