- Strong sales foundation with a proven track record of driving results in a performance‑driven environment.
- People‑leadership or managerial experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent coaching, directive and development skills; ability to motivate diverse personalities.
- Data‑driven mindset with hands‑on experience using reports to guide decisions and performance discussions.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables; comfortable interpreting and communicating sales metrics, trends, and insights.
- Collaborative leadership style that partners effectively across teams.
- High level of integrity, professionalism and cultural awareness.
- Strong work ethic and ability to manage priorities across a large geographic territory.
- Willingness to take direction while offering thoughtful input and perspectives.
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus but not required.
Responsible for managing and directing a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals within a territory. Design and recommend sales and marketing programs and set short‑ and long‑term sales strategies. Develop and implement sales and customer retention programs to optimize sales performance, profitability and customer satisfaction. Plan, forecast, and report on sales and competitive pricing activities and tactics.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and support a team of sales representatives across a large, multi‑market Southern California territory.
- Drive sales performance by setting clear expectations, providing consistent direction, and holding the team accountable to goals.
- Analyze sales performance, trends, and activity using reports and dashboards to inform decisions and coaching conversations.
- Conduct regular one‑on‑ones, ride‑alongs, and performance check‑ins to support individual and team development.
- Foster a culture rooted in integrity, trust, accountability, and collaboration.
- Balance assertiveness with adaptability—confidently speaking up when needed while supporting alignment and collective decisions.
- Partner closely with cross‑functional teams (operations, leadership, and peers) to execute strategies and resolve challenges.
- Support change initiatives, new processes, and tool adoption while helping the team stay focused and engaged.
- Ensure consistent execution of sales processes, reporting expectations, and business priorities.
- Act as a role model for strong work ethic, professionalism, and customer‑focused selling.
- Manage the day‑to‑day activities of individual sales representatives, including performance reviews and coaching for career development and sales growth.
- Analyze and develop reports to identify opportunities within territories for sales and revenue growth objectives.
- Spend time in the field and interact with customers and internal partners to resolve escalated issues.
- Develop sales processes that drive desired outcomes and increase market share within the assigned territory.
- Manage and develop direct reports, including outside sales and special product sales.
- Typical operation of a Personal Vehicle > 20% of the average work week.
- MVR report required; acceptable MVR must be maintained.
- BS/BA in a related discipline (7+ years of related experience). Advanced degree may offset less experience.
- Overnight travel may be required > 50% of the time.
Individual base pay is determined based on market data, experience, skills, and internal equity. Potential salary range is displayed in the posted job details.
