Inside Sales Representative
Airfloat's air caster systems move some of the heaviest, most sensitive loads in American industry across aerospace, aviation, and automotive manufacturing. As demand for our systems grows, we're expanding our sales team and creating this newly established Inside Sales Representative role to help capture that growth. You'll report directly to Airfloat's Managing Director and own the full sales cycle — from lead to purchase order — selling across a broad industrial customer base.
This is not a lead-nurturing or appointment-setting role. You will answer inbound calls, run outbound prospecting, quote jobs, and close deals — while managing a large, active pipeline (often 100+ open opportunities at a time).
What Success Looks LikeThe first 90 days serve as a structured training and ramp-up period. Because a significant share of our sales volume is inbound, full quota begins immediately after.
- Annual sales goal — set each year based on company budget and growth targets
- 10% year-over-year growth in sales from Year 2 onward
- 30% win rate from marketing-qualified lead to closed-won
- Same-day responses to new leads
- Every open deal contacted within one week of their last touchpoint, unless they've specified a preferred follow-up date
- All customer communications and deal activity logged in Acumatica CRM — no exceptions
- Answer inbound calls and emails rapidly
- Make outbound sales calls into our target account list
- Send emails and quotes; build and manage a large active pipeline (100+ deals) in Acumatica CRM
- Learn the technical fundamentals of air caster/skid applications and answer customer questions directly (load capacity, floor type, use case fit) — training provided, no prior pneumatics experience required
- Travel on-site for customer demos and facility visits (up to 25% of time) — this may include trade shows and product demos
- Ensure every customer is helped within the hour, same-day at worst
- Keep CRM data clean and current — activity, deal stage, and next steps documented for every open opportunity
- Participate in improvements to the sales process — CRM automation, marketing content, lean sales efforts, AI streamlining, sales tools and sheets, etc.
- Meet regularly with the Managing Director for pipeline review, closing business, performance reporting, and sales training
- Ability to work remote or off-hours when necessary — this is a sales role — we must be available to our customers
This role will include up to 20% corporate flying. Additional information will be provided separately.
Who Wins in This RoleThis is an entry-to-mid-level sales role — we're not requiring a specific industry background. What matters more:
- High energy — you pick up the phone fast, and you like winning (whether that's deals, games, or competitions)
- Positive and curious — genuinely interested in learning how customers' operations work
- Excited about growth for its own sake, not just quota-driven
- Preferred (not required): experience selling capital equipment to industrial companies, and/or comfort with a 2-week to 6-month sales cycle (ours typically runs 1–8 weeks)
- CRM:
Acumatica — used for all quoting, pipeline tracking, and activity logging - Microsoft Suite — Outlook, Teams, Excel, Power BI
- Quoting:
Airfloat master price list + quoting templates - Full training provided on air caster/skid applications and technical fundamentals
