Senior Sales Manager in Ontario

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Sales Account Manager for our Marketing team to manage our product lines for national accounts. This role is responsible for all sales and account management activities, including developing marketing strategies, preparing meeting presentations, analyzing weekly/monthly sales reports, forecasting inventory, and coordinating vendor reporting and trade show preparation. This position will work closely with the Director of Sales/Marketing to grow the company's national and regional retail business, enhance online presence, and build brand loyalty.

• Experience working with major retailers such as Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, Costco, and their regional buyers/managers; familiarity with housewares, kitchenware, and home improvement categories preferred
• Develop clear sales strategy plans to maximize SKU visibility across all organic retail platforms
• Become the expert on assigned accounts — understand the account team's needs, strategies, and goals, and use that expertise to generate additional business within each account
• Apply category management and fact-based selling principles within each account
• Manage buyer relationships, effectively completing all required administrative forms, promotions, resets, or projects
• Partner with merchants and management to identify and evaluate new product ideas
• Target key prospects for conversion, execute sales action plans, understand customer needs, build relationships, and assist in securing new business
• Develop and deliver presentations for PLRs (new item launches), promotions, mid-season updates, etc.
• Build and closely maintain relationships with key accounts to create or strengthen partnerships
• Regularly provide the VP of the department with a summary of current overall POS performance and future sales forecasts for assigned accounts

• 5+ years of experience in product marketing and account management; digital marketing experience preferred
• Team building and leadership experience required
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet urgent deadlines
• Strong organizational skills, including time management and resource management

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
• 5+ years of product marketing experience (required)
• 5+ years of retail sales experience (required)
• 2–4 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods/retail industry preferred
• Experience using syndicated data for category management preferred

• Strong analytical skills — able to learn and use comprehensive data to forecast trends and evaluate promotional effectiveness
• Customer-focused approach with strong relationship-building skills with buyers
• Team-oriented approach to achieving organizational goals
• Excellent presentation skills — able to communicate effectively across internal departments and with client organizations
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Approximately 10% travel required
• Overtime may be required during peak season, including some evenings and weekends
