American Metals Supply is seeking an Inside Sales professional to support contractors and fabricators in the wholesale metals and HVAC sheet metal market. In this role you'll manage inbound calls, quote prices, process orders, and provide product recommendations for sheet and coil steel, fittings, and related products. You'll build strong customer relationships, coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams, and resolve issues quickly and accurately.
Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, comfortable with phone and email communication, and eager to learn the metals and HVAC distribution business in a team-focused, family-owned environment.
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls and emails from contractors and fabricators
- Prepare accurate price quotes for sheet and coil steel, HVAC sheet metal, and related products
- Enter and process customer orders in ERP/CRM systems
- Provide product recommendations and basic technical support
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to meet delivery expectations
- Track order status and proactively communicate updates to customers
- Resolve order, inventory, and delivery issues promptly
- Maintain detailed customer records and pricing in CRMSupport outside sales and branch operations as needed
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented, family-owned work culture
