About The Role
In this position, you’ll be assisting Veterans and Service Members navigate one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives—buying a home.
As a Loan Officer at Veterans United, you are the trusted guide from start to finish: educating borrowers on how VA loans work, setting expectations, and walking them through every step of the process with confidence and care.
Our Loan Officers are supported by industry‑leading technology designed to remove friction from the loan process and give you time back where it matters most. By automating manual tasks and simplifying how loans move through the system, our tools allow you to focus on building trust, understanding borrower needs, and creating strong relationships from the very first call.
This role balances high‑touch service with performance‑driven results. A strong pipeline of interested borrowers is provided by our marketing team, so most of your outreach is to Veterans who have already raised their hand.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with borrowers to understand their goals and provide clear, expert guidance so they feel informed, confident, and ready to move forward.
- Leverage online systems and digital tools to review credit and identify the best loan solutions for each borrower.
- Guide borrowers through the loan process by clearly explaining options, rates, and terms.
- Manage loan files from application through closing while keeping borrowers informed at every step.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to ensure a smooth, high‑quality loan experience.
- Must be NMLS licensed (or willing to obtain license).
- Proven experience in direct sales and pipeline management, including use of key performance metrics.
- Strong communication skills; ability to educate and build trust with borrowers and teammates.

Base salary plus commission: earnings potential >$85,000 in the first year, approximately $200,000 by year three, and over $300,000 by year five, with top performers earning well over $500,000. Earning potential is uncapped.
