, an award-winning and respected agency serving St. Francois County, is seeking accomplished sales professionals to join the Farmers Insurance Protege Program.
This opportunity is designed for driven professionals with experience in insurance sales, outside sales, business development, account management, sales leadership, or customer relationship management who are interested in taking the next step toward agency management and business leadership.
As a Farmers Insurance Protege, you will receive personalized mentorship from an experienced agency owner, comprehensive Farmers Insurance training, and structured financial support while developing the sales, marketing, leadership, and operational skills needed to successfully run an insurance agency.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
- A proven record of success in sales or business development
- Strong relationship-building, prospecting, and closing skills
- Leadership ability and a desire to grow professionally
- An entrepreneurial mindset and interest in business ownership
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills

- Develop insurance quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support.
- Prospects for new business by following sales leads generated from referrals, networking, marketing, cold-calling, and lead databases.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Participate in regular team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
- Meet new business production goals and objectives as established.
- Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful and be coachable.
- Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Be a great self-starter with a sense of urgency.
- Proficiency to multi-task, follow-thru and follow-up.
- Excellent Communication/interpersonal skills.

- A Property & Casualty insurance license is required.
- A Life & Health Insurance license is required.
