Staybridge Suites Kansas City-Independent is looking for a motivated, outgoing sales professional to join our team as Director of Sales.

As Director of Sales, you'll work closely with the General Manager and hotel leadership team to grow corporate, group, government, and extended-stay business. We're looking for someone who is comfortable getting out into the community, meeting new clients, and actively developing business throughout the Kansas City and Independence markets.
What You'll Do- Develop new business to increase hotel occupancy and revenue.
- Prospect for corporate, government, group, and extended-stay accounts.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and existing clients.
- Conduct outside sales calls, client visits, networking, and community outreach.
- Respond to sales inquiries and identify opportunities to convert leads into business.
- Conduct hotel tours and presentations for prospective clients.
- Negotiate rates and agreements within established guidelines.
- Maintain accurate account information, sales activity, and forecasts.
- Participate in revenue meetings and work with hotel leadership to identify new sales opportunities.
- Represent the hotel at local networking and community events.
- Maintain relationships with existing accounts to encourage repeat business.
- Hotel sales experience is preferred, but candidates with relevant hospitality, business development, or outside sales experience are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with corporate, group, extended-stay, or business-to-business sales is a plus.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable prospecting and developing new business.
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own schedule and priorities.
- Professional, organized, and dependable.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with hotel leadership.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn hotel sales systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
