The MPS Market Manager is responsible for acquiring new merchant relationships and selling payment acceptance, merchant account, point-of-sale, and related business solutions within an assigned market. This role builds strong relationships with merchants, community organizations, and referral sources; identifies opportunities for growth; and delivers solutions aligned to each client’s payment and business needs. The MPS Market Manager works independently to meet sales production, revenue, activation, and market growth objectives while staying informed about local market trends and competitive activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospecting, creating, and managing a pipeline of sales opportunities
- Effectively manage territory
- Execute successful sales campaigns
- Provide activity reporting and progress toward objectives to leadership
- Generate new business opportunities and achieve sales production goals within the assigned market
- Maintain productive partner relationships with key stakeholders and bank partner
- This position involves direct client engagement, including in-person meetings with clients and banking partners 3–4 days per week. While operating autonomously, the role requires a strong in-person presence in any of the following markets:
San Francisco, CA or San Jose, CA or San Diego, CA - The ideal candidate will be fluent in Korean and comfortable working with Korean-speaking clients and partners, providing culturally relevant financial guidance and support.
Compensation package provides an annual base, sales incentive program and mileage reimbursement
Candidate must reside near San Francisco, CA or San Jose, CA or San Diego, CA market to align with the territory coverage needs.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically, Three to five years of relevant sales experience
- Bilingual, English and Korean
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Thorough knowledge of sales and sales strategies
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated new business development and relationship management skills
- Effective customer service/relations skills
- Thorough knowledge of banking products/services, banking operations, and current market trends
- Ability to make important decisions independently
