Associate Scientist, Medicinal Chemistry

Specific Job Responsibilities

• Independently plans and executes assigned experiments that support routine research activities and project goals.
• Demonstrates and applies advanced understanding of project goals and methods.
• Selects appropriate methods and techniques for performing experiments.
• Collaborates with supervisory personnel to develop routine research methods.
• Recommends alternatives; researches new methods and techniques; proactively seeks senior personnel to discuss potential solutions to problems.
• Participates in group meetings; presents results, interprets data, and draws conclusions.
• Works with minimal supervision on projects of moderate to complex scope.
• Uses strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills to provide insight into processes used to achieve results.
• Develops skills in data analysis and evaluates quality of data.
• Suggests new compounds for synthesis based on recent SAR.

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience; OR
• Master’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience
• Degree in Chemistry preferred
