Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 (Based on Experience)

Seeking a Senior Formulation Chemist to join a premier cosmetic manufacturing innovator in Southern Louisiana. This is not just a bench role; it is a pivotal leadership position designed for a scientist who thrives at the intersection of rigorous chemistry and creative artistry.

• End-to-End Innovation: Lead the formulation lifecycle for advanced skincare and dermatological products—from conceptual ideation and bench-top prototyping to pilot batches and full-scale manufacturing.
• Formulation Mastery: Design, optimize, and troubleshoot complex emulsions and anhydrous systems for superior stability, sensory performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Technical Leadership: Act as the subject matter expert for technology transfers and scale-up, ensuring R&D benchmarks are maintained during the transition to the production floor.
• Strategic Sourcing: Proactively evaluate emerging raw materials, vet global suppliers, and integrate "green" or "clean" chemistry innovations.
• Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure all formulations meet stringent global standards (FDA, EU, ASEAN) and oversee comprehensive stability and compatibility testing.
• Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate directly with Marketing to translate consumer insights into technical specifications, and with Quality/Regulatory teams to ensure speed-to-market.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering
  , or a related STEM field.
• Experience: 5+ years of progressive, hands‑on experience in cosmetic formulation (specifically skincare or topical dermatological).
• Technical Depth: Proven track record of developing commercially successful products and navigating the complexities of scale‑up.
• Mindset: A "bench-first" scientist who is equally comfortable presenting technical data to stakeholders and troubleshooting a 500‑gallon batch.
