This role is responsible for leading the site Cross Contamination Program and supporting manufacturing and laboratory troubleshooting efforts through non-routine analytical testing. Responsibilities include introducing, setting up, training on, and transferring new products, methodologies, and related laboratory instrumentation, as well as providing analytical method development, verification, and validation. The role also researches and tests new analysis technologies for manufacturing and laboratory use, manages non-routine samples from production and EHS, and serves as the administrator of the Standards Distribution program for the Americas.
In addition, this position is considered a subject matter expert and is responsible for leading and developing direct reports in the Environmental Laboratory.
- Maintaining compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
- Leading and developing direct reports in meeting performance, developmental and organizational objectives.
- Being responsible for Cross Contamination Program at the site and for maintaining Standards distribution for the Americas and aligning with Germany.
- Performing non-routine testing as needed to troubleshoot issues in the lab and manufacturing and method validations, and performing verifications for the site.
- Maintaining and updating analytical methods, PAP charts and QC documents.
- Supporting continuous improvement (CI) projects as needed.
- Analyzing test results to ensure conformity and implement necessary improvements.
- Researching, testing and recommending new analysis technologies for the lab and production.
- Possess a BS/BA in Chemistry or a related field with a minimum of 6 years’ analytical laboratory experience; candidates holding an MS or PhD in Chemistry or a related field must have at least 3 years’ analytical laboratory experience.
- Demonstrate analytical laboratory work experience including data review, interpretation, troubleshooting and laboratory analytical testing techniques.
- Have troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, leadership skills, strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills – verbal and written.
