KU Leuven's Institute of Astronomy (IvS) and Centre of mathematical Plasma Astrophysics (CmPA) invite applications for a two-year postdoctoral position as part of the SOUL project. The role focuses on modelling evolving binaries and star–planet systems, using asteroseismic data and tidal physics to develop new tools and calibrate dissipation in evolutionary models.
Applicants should have a PhD in astrophysics or physics, strong English, and a track record in oscillation theory or tides.
