Lab Technician

Sample preparation of environmental samples and chemical analysis by classical and instrumental techniques. Careful record-keeping of analysis documentation and strict adherence to QA/QC protocols. Use of scientific instrument software and laboratory database platforms to generate and enter analytical data.

• Extract aqueous and solid samples prior to analysis within the inorganic and organic sections by instrumental techniques such as ICP, ICP-MS, GC/MS, LC/MS, etc.
• Analyze samples using scientific instruments and/or classical techniques.
• Use laboratory glassware and equipment, including balances, volumetric instruments, micro syringes, etc.
• Prepare standards and solutions.
• Follow detailed procedures described in the Standard Operating Procedures and analytical methods.
• Maintain laboratory documentation.
• Communicate with analyst, project managers, QA staff and other laboratory personnel.
• Perform routine maintenance on laboratory instruments and glassware.

• College-level science courses, Bachelor's Degree or student in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology or related field.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and able to work under time constraints.
• Willing to work in a flexible schedule.
• No experience required.
