Special Requirements

Travel is required. Must possess a valid California driver’s license with a good driving record to attend meetings and/or training.

This position is covered in the Political Reform Act and requires financial disclosure within 30 days of the first and last day physically worked in a covered position and annually by April 1st.

Desirable Qualifications
  • Proactive; can learn and adapt quickly; safety conscious; exhibit strong organizational and project management skills; exemplary written and oral communication skills; possess and exhibit inter‑personal skills; and can work cooperatively in multidisciplinary teams, with local agencies, and stakeholder groups; attention to detail producing high‑quality work products.
  • Knowledge of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) and DWR’s roles and responsibilities implementing the Act.
  • Knowledge and practical experience assessing water supplies and demands, as well as conducting other complex water resources engineering assessments.
