A $5,000 scholarship for a California high school senior planning to pursue a degree in a soil science-related field, selected on leadership qualities and stated plans for a soil science career. The recipient also receives a first year of undergraduate membership in the American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society of America and Soil Science Society of America, and has the option to be considered for an internship or part-time employment with Dellavalle Laboratory while an undergraduate.
Supported by the Nat and Ann Dellavalle Scholarship Fund through the Agronomic Science Foundation and administered by the Soil Science Society of America; the application is open from January through late March.
