- Manage projects and assignments involving complex air quality permitting and compliance work.
- Help clients identify applicable federal and state air quality regulations and create practical compliance strategies and systems.
- Coordinate directly with state air agencies and the EPA on behalf of clients.
- Work closely with WSP team members, outside firms, and legal counsel to support client air quality objectives.
- Represent client interests by keeping them updated on important regulatory developments and other business-relevant issues.
- Participate in public meetings and hearings as a client representative.
- Calculate air emissions and assess appropriate air pollution control technologies.
- Take part in environmental compliance audits.
- Carry out and maintain QA/QC standards for technical deliverables.
- Support the growth and development of technical staff through mentoring.
- Have 7+ years of relevant experience gained after completing your education.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
- Bring strong technical writing skills, clear communication ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Can manage project teams and collaborate with client teams to deliver high-quality results.
- Show strong ownership and commitment to completing quality work on time, often with minimal supervision.
- Are willing to travel occasionally for site visits and public meetings.
- Have a high level of motivation, a positive mindset, and a readiness to learn and take on responsibility.
- Can work effectively both as a team lead and independently across different project settings.
