Environmental Specialist

We are seeking an Environmental Specialist for one of our clients operating a large-scale industrial facility in the Western United States. This is a hands-on role supporting a complex environmental program, with a particular focus on water compliance, monitoring, and groundwater-related activities. You will work closely with EHS, operations, engineering, and external partners to manage environmental requirements and strengthen compliance as the organization continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support water and groundwater monitoring, sampling, testing, and compliance activities across facility operations.
• Coordinate environmental sampling activities and work with laboratories, consultants, and contractors to ensure accurate and timely results.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain water quality and environmental data to support regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.
• Support groundwater monitoring and remediation-related programs, including coordination with environmental consultants and technical teams.
• Prepare technical reports, regulatory documentation, and records associated with water and environmental compliance programs.
• Conduct facility inspections and identify potential environmental compliance issues and corrective actions.
• Support environmental permitting, regulatory reporting, audits, and agency inspections.
• Maintain organized environmental records and documentation to support regulatory and internal requirements.
• Support environmental incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and EHS teams to integrate environmental requirements into day-to-day facility activities.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in water, environmental compliance, or a related environmental role within an industrial setting, with hands-on experience supporting water quality monitoring, sampling, regulatory reporting, and compliance programs. Experience with in mining, chemical processing, or other heavy industrial operations is preferred. Experience working within California’s environmental regulatory environment and with state or regional water agencies is a strong plus.
