Job DescriptionEurofins is searching for a Hazardous Waste Coordinator for the laboratory for Earth City MO. Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:00am- 4:30pm +/- overtime as needed.
Compensation range - $19-22/hour based on experience.

The Hazardous Waste Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the collection, storage, documentation, transportation, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes generated by laboratory operations. This position serves as the primary point of contact for day-to-day waste management activities and ensures compliance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and applicable state and local regulations.
The Hazardous Waste Coordinator manages waste inventories, inspections, vendor interactions, regulatory documentation, waste minimization efforts, and disposal projects while supporting a safe and compliant laboratory environment.
Waste Management and Disposal
Coordinates and performs the collection, storage, segregation, packaging, transportation, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste generated throughout the laboratory. Serves as the primary owner of day-to-day waste disposal activities for all laboratory departments. Ensures waste streams are properly characterized, labeled, and managed in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures. Coordinates waste pickups with approved Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facilities (TSDFs) and ensures waste is shipped within applicable regulatory accumulation time limits.
Laboratory Waste Disposal Program Management
Manages the complete lifecycle of laboratory-generated waste from point of generation through final disposal. Works directly with analysts, supervisors, and laboratory managers to ensure waste is properly accumulated, stored, and prepared for disposal. Oversees disposal activities for hazardous waste, non-hazardous waste, solvents, acids, caustics, laboratory chemicals, soil samples, laboratory glass, and other regulated waste streams. Monitors waste inventories and storage capacities while ensuring uninterrupted disposal services that support laboratory operations.
Compliance and Documentation
Maintains waste disposal records in a complete, accurate, and legally defensible manner. Prepares and manages manifests, land disposal restriction forms, certificates of destruction, waste profiles, POTW documentation, shipping records, and other required regulatory documents. Maintains waste tracking systems and generates reports necessary for internal management and regulatory compliance. Tracks waste generation volumes and disposal activities for corporate and regulatory reporting purposes.
Inspections and Corrective Actions
Conducts weekly inspections of satellite accumulation areas and hazardous waste storage locations to verify compliance with environmental regulations and company requirements.…
