Our client is a highly regarded engineering consulting firm specializing in low voltage systems. With a focus on wireless communications, ICT, audio visual signage, and electronic security systems, we deliver innovative solutions to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Our client base primarily consists of organisations in the aviation sector, where security and reliability are paramount. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Security Systems to lead the security division.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of electronic security systems, ensuring the highest standards of safety and protection for our clients  assets and personnel. • Develop and implement strategic plans for the security systems division in alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Provide leadership and direction to a team of security engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in security systems design and implementation.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of security system projects, from initial conception and design to installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their security requirements and develop tailored solutions to meet their needs.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Utilize your expertise in electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and perimeter security.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, resolving complex technical issues and challenges as they arise.
• Conduct thorough assessments and audits of existing security systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients in the aviation sector, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
• Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and escalations, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
• Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion within existing client accounts.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and guidelines governing security systems in the aviation sector.
• Mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities through proactive risk assessment and management strategies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to address security-related issues and concerns.

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
• Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing security systems projects, preferably within the aviation sector.
• In-depth knowledge of electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as TSA, FAA, and ICAO requirements, is highly desirable.
• PSP Certification is highly desirable, or achievable within 1 year of employment.
• Demonstrated ability to innovate and drive continuous improvement in security systems design and implementation.
