Under the general direction of the Supervisor I, the Analyst II independently performs complex analytical and technical work related to the review and evaluation of company license applications. The Analyst II analyzes experience documentation for accuracy and compliance, may conduct interviews, verifies supporting materials, and prepares detailed reports and recommendations to ensure licensing determinations are accurate, consistent, and in accordance with established laws and regulations.

Working ConditionsThe incumbent works in an office setting, with artificial light and temperature control. The ability to use a personal computer and telephone is essential. The position requires bending and stooping whenever it is necessary to retrieve files. Ability to professionally and courteously handle calls/correspondence of various tones and temperaments from the public (including licensees) is essential. Regular attendance and punctuality are an essential part of this job.
Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview. However, they must reside in the State of California once they are hired and start working.
Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee's monthly salary in exchange for leave credits. Employees appointed to this classification will have their monthly salary reduced and will accrue hours of PLP 2025 on the first day of each pay period as outlined on "Section 2113 - Personal Leave Program (PLP)" of the CalHR Manual.
The salary range(s) included on this job posting do not reflect the reduction in pay.
