Position: SECURITY OFFICER
Location: Caruthersville

The team member in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. The Security Officer is also responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, team members, and company assets. Maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial information, operating systems, company policies and procedures, marketing plans, and team member information. This position is classified as a Safety Sensitive position.

It is a job or position where the team member holding this position has the responsibility for his/her own safety and/or the safety of others.

Essential Position

Duties & Responsibilities

Interact with all guests and team members to positively influence the guest and team member experience. Demonstrate resiliency when faced with difficult situations under all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow team members.

General Escorts, Dispatch, Turnstiles, Outside Patrol, BV Drop, Toke Drop/Count, Emergency BV Drops, Emergency Table Drops, Table Games Jackpots, Inspection and Destruction of Cards and Dice, Safety Patrol, Lost and Found, Parking Lot Patrol, T/S readings, and Table Drops.

Escort money, chips and markers.

Maintain control of sensitive keys.

Monitor patron, employee and vendor passage in and out of the casino and issue visitor/vendor/temp badges as needed.

Check for, report and resolve safety hazards.

Have knowledge of promotions and events occurring throughout the casino.

Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethical manner and require others to do the same.

Handle routine customer complaints and incidents, and exhibit appropriate discretion to define situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel. Seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.

Work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including nights, weekends and holidays; shifts may change based on business needs.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Physical and Mental Demands and Work Environment Physical Demands

Be on feet for long periods of time up to 8 hours a day, moving effectively and efficiently throughout the casino and responding to assignments in a timely fashion.
Stand 90% of the time with 60% of that time actively walking, sit 10%, and lift up to 35 lbs. without assistance.
Pull/push large carts with assistance weighing up to 800 lbs.

Mental Demands

Use all equipment associated with the position, including two‑way radio, computer, flashlight, telephone and systems.
Write basic incident reports using a computer database.
Maintain composure during difficult and/or stressful situations.
Work in a smoking environment with above‑average noise levels and exposure to bright flashing lighting.
Perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience/

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.

Knowledge:
Must possess average written and oral communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Prior experience in customer service preferred.

Other:
Must complete all required company training. Must obtain and maintain a valid Level 2 Missouri Gaming License. Must be insurable to operate a company vehicle. Must receive and maintain all required certifications relating to the position. May obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification when offered after 90 days of employment.
