Position Overview

As a Security Officer at County Hospital in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients across industries such as Government. This part‑time role offers flexibility through a dynamic shift scheduling platform.

• Pay Rate: $24.53 / Hour

• Mon: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Tue: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Wed: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Thu: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Fri: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and staff movement, and report security‑related concerns, hazards, and policy violations according to site guidelines.
• Assist with routine public‑facing interactions, directional support, and security‑related communications with staff, visitors, patients, and emergency responders as needed.

• Possess at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 21 years of age (or at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
