Job DescriptionNormandy Schools Collaborative is seeking Safety and Security Officer(s) to maintain reasonably safe and secure teaching and learning environments for our students, faculty and staff.
Essential Job Functions- Patrolling
- Check students for proper hall passes
- Escort students to the office for inappropriate behavior
- Supervision of students outside of the classroom
- Conduct periodic checks of grounds and buildings and perform surveillance activities as directed
- Notify office personnel of problems with vehicles (i.e., improperly parked, lights on, etc.)
- Student Management
- Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules related to student conduct, vehicle operation, and parking
- Resolve conflict or confrontations between students and report disturbances to principal or designee
- Assist school Administration in matters of safety and security as requested
- Control traffic and parking on campus grounds
- Others
- Assist law enforcement personnel as needed, on matters of crime and delinquency
- Notify police, fire department, or other appropriate authority of any situation requiring immediate attention
- Assist visitors, giving directions and needed information
- Provide security at extra‑curricular activities
- Attend training sessions and perform other needed duties, as assigned
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Safety and Security

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year job‑related experience
- Must have, or the ability to obtain, a valid St. Louis County Security Officer’s license
