Normandy Schools Collaborative is seeking Safety and Security Officer(s) to maintain reasonably safe and secure teaching and learning environments for our students, faculty and staff.

• Patrolling
  • Check students for proper hall passes
  • Escort students to the office for inappropriate behavior
  • Supervision of students outside of the classroom
  • Conduct periodic checks of grounds and buildings and perform surveillance activities as directed
  • Notify office personnel of problems with vehicles (i.e., improperly parked, lights on, etc.)
• Student Management
  • Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules related to student conduct, vehicle operation, and parking
  • Resolve conflict or confrontations between students and report disturbances to principal or designee
  • Assist school Administration in matters of safety and security as requested
  • Control traffic and parking on campus grounds
• Others
  • Assist law enforcement personnel as needed, on matters of crime and delinquency
  • Notify police, fire department, or other appropriate authority of any situation requiring immediate attention
  • Assist visitors, giving directions and needed information
  • Provide security at extra‑curricular activities
  • Attend training sessions and perform other needed duties, as assigned
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Safety and Security

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year job‑related experience
• Must have, or the ability to obtain, a valid St. Louis County Security Officer’s license
