Position

Role: TWIC Security Professional – Unarmed

Location:

Cameron, LA (55 miles south of Lake Charles)

Shift: 12‑hour shifts

Pay: $25.00 per hour, paid weekly

Must have an active TWIC card in hand at all times.

Mandatory Requirements
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Experience working in direct elements (position is 100% outdoors)
  • 5 years of experience in Security or TWIC environment, or
    • 1 year armed security, military, or law enforcement
  • Experience in security surveillance (a must)
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to pass background and drug screen
  • Unexpired driver’s license and Social Security card (no copies)
  • Reliable transportation (location is remote)
  • Can work 12‑hour shifts
  • Can stand/walk for extended periods of time
  • Can work outdoors as the site is 100% outdoors
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the facility is protected with high quality security services to protect people and property.
  • Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons.
  • Report safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances in writing and verbally.
  • Preserve order and enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors and premises.
  • Monitor closed‑circuit television systems and alarms.
  • Maintain awareness and familiarity with the site‑specific operations performance manual and post orders.
  • Meet and continue to meet state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Armed Security Officers as applicable.
  • Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with both client employees and guests.
  • Answer questions and assist guests and employees; greet phones and guests in a professional manner.
  • Patrol the facility on foot or in a vehicle.
  • May be required to work for multiple clients at multiple locations, covering special projects, call‑offs, vacations and open shifts.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; at least 21 years of age.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Guard License as required; free training is provided for those without a card/license.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation and a post‑offer/pre‑employment drug/alcohol test, and may need to pass a driver’s record check.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, handle multiple assignments and manage deadlines.
  • Ability to handle both common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
  • Professional, articulate and able to use independent judgment and discretion.
  • Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel and the general public.
  • Intermediate computer skills to operate wireless technology at client‑specific sites.
  • Highly organized, concise, consistent and compliant; uphold policy enforcement with integrity.
  • Must frequently prepare reports and understand all operating procedures and instructions.
  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • 3 years civilian law enforcement
    • 3 years private or corporate security experience
    • 3 years military experience with a positive discharge
    • Criminal Justice degree or law enforcement‑related degree (Associate or higher)
    • Graduate of a law enforcement training academy
Physical / Mental Requirements and Working Environment
  • Regular use of both hands; frequently stand, sit, stoop, talk, listen, read computer screens and reports in English.
  • Constant walking, standing, reaching, driving a vehicle, occasional maneuver up to 40 lbs.; may climb stairs intermittently at client sites.
  • Constant use of eyes (correctable vision to normal level required) to observe, read, interact with public and co‑workers, view security monitors; includes hand/eye coordination.
