This is an unarmed Executive Protection Agent position based in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting a single primary client on a small, tenured embedded EP team, balanced domestic and international travel, multi‑agent coverage, and proven advance work skills. Applicants must demonstrate strong physical fitness, proven experience in corporate and high‑profile environments, and ability to operate in fast‑paced settings while maintaining professionalism and character under scrutiny.
Job Description- Ensure the overall safety and security of designated Principals.
- Drive Principals to various personal/business venues and/or additional off‑site assignments.
- Proficiently use and maintain all equipment for protective operations (vehicles, medical supplies, communications devices, etc.).
- Maintain an acceptable professional appearance.
- Communicate with the Principal’s staff, coworkers, and third‑party vendors using a customer‑service approach.
- Adapt to tasks outside traditional security operations.
- Interact with children as needed.
- Execute on‑the‑spot critical thinking and improvisation.
- Demonstrate strong emotional intelligence and self‑awareness.
- Navigate social settings, employing social engineering to achieve desired outcomes.
- Submit to pre‑employment, post‑accident, and random drug testing as determined by management.
- Work shifts that may include days, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime.
- Present multiple coverage experience.
- Travel domestically and internationally when required.
- Provide close protection at venues, events, business meetings, personal trips, etc.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional conduct in all situations.
- Conduct advance work for routes, venues, and travel trips.
- Write detailed reports with proficient writing skills.
- Coordinate with Principal’s staff and outside personnel to facilitate seamless operations.
- Maintain physical fitness for prolonged duty: stand for several hours, run, swim, hike, etc.
- Engage responsibly with active threats against the Principal.
- Use proficient defensive tactics to deescalate or actively engage threats.
- CA BSIS Security Guard license
- Valid United States Driver’s License
- Current Passport with at least six months validity remaining
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification for adults, children, and infants
Education and Experience
- Certification from a recognized EP school
- Graduation from a certified driving school
- Military or law‑enforcement experience
- Training in defensive tactics, counter‑surveillance, surveillance detection, and covert protection
- Active First Responder, Paramedic, or EMT certifications
- Regular participation in outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, ocean sports, etc.
- 3‑5 years of relevant EP experience
- Understanding of the latest technology: smartphones, communication/tracking apps, collaboration apps
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and as a solo practitioner
- Excellent communicator capable of engaging clients, superiors, peers, and vendors professionally
- Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary
- Prolonged periods sitting (5+ hours) at a desk while monitoring surveillance equipment
- Prolonged periods standing (4‑5+ hours) without a break
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and, if necessary, lift, drag, or move a human up to 200 pounds or more
- Capacity to bend, twist, stoop, and crawl as needed
- Ability to respond to physical attacks, natural disasters, and evacuations
- $145,000 minimum annual compensation
- Work schedule:
2 weeks on/2 weeks off, 12‑hour workdays - Paid sick leave
- Paid time off (PTO) accrual
- Holiday pay for select holidays worked (6 holidays)
