To assist the Surveillance Manager in every regard at all times; to supervise senior operators, technicians and operators on their respective shifts as instructed by the Manager in compliance with all-departmental, company and State Regulations. To conduct continuous surveillance of all areas of the casino via floor surveillance and the CCTV system as directed by the Manager per Commission, departmental and company regulations;
to take authority over emergency situations until such time that the Manager may arrive to provide further instructions and to give guidance and training to the Operators of all shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises all personnel assigned to surveillance operations on a shift basis.
- Safeguards assets of the company.
- Conducts surveillance of areas, customers and employees to ensure the protection of the assets of the casino.
- Conducts investigations as directed by the Surveillance Manager.
- To ensure all new and current surveillance personnel are properly trained in all aspects of their duties.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Give guidance to Surveillance Operators, and Surveillance Technician/Operators as directed by the Manager.
- Make recommendations to Surveillance Management, based on observations made during Surveillance activity, concerning changes in the policies and procedures of other departments with the protection of company assets in mind.
- Supports other Managers, Directors and Executives with assistance and information relating to the protection of assets in their respective departments, as well as Operators in the performance of their duties.
- Understand and cooperate fully with all Departmental and Company policies, including the "open door" policy.
- Continuously monitor CCTV, closely scrutinizing all activities within Camera range to ensure the protection of company assets.
- Maintain a professional relationship with the Commission or its Agents.
- Maintain the ability to detect any schemes or cheating aimed at the company or its guests.
- Report all significant indications of criminal activity to the Commission and applicable members of management in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the integrity and confidentiality necessary in the department is maintained per company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain a non-arbitrary work environment for all surveillance personnel.
- Knowledge of and the ability to demonstrate competency of MO CSRs and the property's Internal Controls (ICS)
- Provide a comprehensive training concerning all Internal Controls, slots, cage, count areas, as well as table games when applicable.
- Maintain an environment, which emphasizes cooperation, communication and teamwork with all departments, which depend on the support of the Surveillance Department.
- Recognize and recommend for promotion only those surveillance employees who have demonstrated that their attitudes and abilities are commensurate with added responsibility and growth within the company.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations. Must be of legal age to work in the casino industry.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two years of Surveillance experience, ability to discern and safeguard sensitive matters, with an aptitude to lead and mentor the Surveillance Team. Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be of legal age to work in the casino industry. Must have the ability to obtain a work permit or license issued by the Missouri Gaming Commission. Must demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the Surveillance Manager, via written and oral evaluation, the ability to take authority over any situation when the Manager is absent.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Missouri Gaming License - Level II
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
