Construction Generalist - YMCA of the Ozarks

Interpret and analyze blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine project layout, required dimensions, and materials. Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace. Inspect, install, and repair ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures. Read plans and frame structure accordingly. Lead in layout with joists, walls, trusses.

Must be able to precisely measure, cut, and assemble the framing lumber needed to build custom residential houses. Oversee all phases of project completion. Performs all other duties as assigned.

• Completed all state‑required classes and apprenticeship work.
• Possess a journeymans card.
• Strong ability to precisely measure, cut, and assemble framing lumber.
• Excellent interpretation of blueprints and building plans.
• Ability to lead layout with joists, walls, and trusses.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
