We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Utility Locator to join our team. The Utility Locator will be responsible for accurately locating and marking underground utilities such as gas, water, and sewer lines to prevent damage during construction or excavation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of utility systems and be able to use specialized equipment to identify and map out the location of these utilities.
Responsibilities- Use electronic locating equipment to identify and mark the location of underground utilities
- Coordinate with construction crews and project managers to ensure accurate utility markings
- Maintain accurate records of utility locations and markings
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and damage to utilities
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to provide updates on utility locations
- Previous experience as a Utility Locator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of utility systems and underground infrastructure
- Ability to use electronic locating equipment and read utility maps
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
