Technician

Sunbelt Rentals seeks a Technician to perform preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on a diverse fleet of equipment, including Aerial Work Platforms, construction tools, generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment.

The Technician will work in a safety‑focused environment, meeting changing priorities and preventing equipment downtime.

• Perform preventive maintenance on diesel and heavy equipment.
• Conduct advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Execute complex repairs to restore equipment functionality.
• Maintain safety procedures and document work performed.
• Adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training preferred.
• Five or more years of technician experience with diesel, heavy equipment, or specialty line equipment such as generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas machinery.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency in providing tools of the trade and flexibility with priorities.

• Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 50 pounds or more.
• Work indoors and outdoors as required by the job.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties related to equipment maintenance.
