Challenger Aircraft Maintenance Technician – Position 1088

You will work on some of the most sophisticated civilian aircraft worldwide, performing inspections, troubleshooting systems, and handling a variety of maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
  • Removal and installation of panels and components.
  • Troubleshooting and problem‑solving aircraft system/component issues.
  • De‑fueling aircraft.
  • Engine removal and installations.
  • Operating ground support equipment.
  • Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components.
  • Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
  • Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling.
  • Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate in English.
  • Any other job‑related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Education & Licenses

A high school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Experience Levels (AMT) AMT I
  • Airframe or Powerplant license required; airframe license preferred.
  • 0‑2 years of experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar.
  • Limited to moderate knowledge of general maintenance aspects.
  • Required to work under close supervision of general maintenance tasks.
AMT II
  • Airframe or Powerplant license required; airframe license preferred.
  • 2‑4 years of experience in aviation maintenance.
  • Experience on corporate aircraft is preferred but not essential.
  • Require general supervision on routine maintenance and more detailed instruction for new or special assignments.
AMT III
  • Airframe license required; power plant license highly preferred.
  • 4‑6+ years of experience in aviation maintenance.
  • Experience on corporate aircraft highly preferred but not essential.
  • Full knowledge of general, detailed, and special assignments in aircraft maintenance.
AMT IV (Master)
  • Airframe and Powerplant license required.
  • 6+ years of experience in aviation maintenance.
  • Must have extensive experience on corporate aircraft platforms.
  • Subject matter expert in all areas of the job.
Other Requirements
  • Team player, self‑motivated, able to perform in a fast‑paced environment with specific deadlines.
  • Attend work every day as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments.
  • Notify supervisor in advance of any shift starting if unable to work.
  • Reliable transportation to get to work each day.
  • Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
  • Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
  • Maintain customer‑oriented work habits.
  • Physical requirements:

    lift 50 lbs, routine walking, bending, squatting or sitting, repetitive motion with arms and hands, climb ladders, stand for long periods.
  • Mental requirements: understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines, troubleshoot or evaluate system operation, work with others professionally.
  • Supervision: work under supervision of assigned Team Leader and Director of Maintenance; may supervise other technicians.
  • Working conditions:

    perform in a hangar with extreme temperatures, outside during aircraft runs, varied positions around the aircraft.
  • Equipment used: personal hand tools, pneumatic/hydraulic/electrical equipment, jacks, stands, lifts, tugs, power carts, other engine‑powered equipment.
