Job Summary
The Rough Carpenter is responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structural frameworks and building components. This role focuses on the early stages of construction, including framing, formwork, and structural assemblies, ensuring that all work meets building codes, project specifications, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials according to project requirements and blueprints.
- Ensure structures are level, square, and properly aligned.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized worksite.
- Collaborate with contractors, supervisors, and other trades workers.
- Perform general labor tasks as needed on the job site.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience as a rough carpenter or in a similar construction role.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Comfort working at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and precision in measurements.
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Outdoor and indoor construction environments.
- Exposure to various weather conditions, noise, and dust.
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- $11.00+ depending on experience
