Plumbing Service Technician

Job Description

Iron Mechanical is seeking a skilled Plumbing Technician to work on multiple ongoing commercial projects in the greater Northern California area. The ideal candidate has advanced knowledge on how to repair, install, and maintain plumbing systems and services on a larger, more complex scale.

• Layout, fabrication, and troubleshooting of installation problems as required
• Monitoring and servicing systems, diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment, running tests and completing reports, updating and improving existing systems, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment
• Perform quality control measures; oversight to ensure material is installed per code and manufacturer requirements in the most efficient manner possible
• Understand project scope of work, plan submittals, and equipment requirements
• Attend meetings associated with assigned projects
• Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure team follows Company standards
• Maintain professional customer relationships, communicating complex information to update general contractor, customers, and Project Manager on project status

• 5-7 years of commercial/industrial plumbing/piping experience or combination of field and education in the trade
• Must be able to read and understand construction documents and schedules
• Capable of forecasting tasks and materials
• Understand the importance of safety of self and others on the projects
• Knowledge of all codes and regulations specific to project
• Experience with Bluebeam and Plan Grid
• Proven ability to supervise, lead and develop teams is a huge plus
• MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL
