Job Summary
Installs, repairs, maintains, and troubleshoots telecommunications network equipment. Supports data infrastructure transmission media and components as requested.
CORE SCOPE OF POSITION- Installs copper, fiber optical cable, coaxial cable into conduit pathways and trenches to complete a voice/data communication circuit.
- Installs voice/data components, such as telephones, hubs, and switches and powers up to red light (cold install).
- Installs raceways, bracketry, racks, cabinets, and other electronic oriented hardware to thoroughly support a network configuration.
- Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and completes repairs on voice/data circuits using current state‑of‑the‑art testing equipment.
- Maintains and provides necessary records and documentation associated with network telecommunications installation, operations and maintenance, adds and changes to activity to ensure accurate inventory of equipment, cabling/wiring records, service request/work order and repair work performed.
- Reads and understands basic schematic diagrams and demonstrates ability to translate into installation.
- Maintains knowledge of current marketing promotions and/or special events.
- Ensures that the work area is clean, safe, secure, and well maintained.
- Establishes and maintains professional working relations with internal and external guests.
- Attends and participates in meetings as required.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION0 to 2 years of related experience. Hands‑on experience with tone generators and probes required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSBasic knowledge of voice/data concepts, to include EIA/TIA and EEIA standards. Ability to successfully complete a voice/data circuit from schematic to operation. Ability to read, analyze, interpret schematics, plans, blueprints, procedures, regulations, and guidelines into practical applications and installations. Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Good organization skills. Ability to pay close attention to detail, multitask, and manage time. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
The ability to work under high pressure, deadline oriented, and fast‑paced environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate company and team members’ needs.
