AAA Truck & Trailer Services Inc. has been serving the transportation industry for almost 30 years in the St. Louis Metro Region and has recently expanded to Bridgeton, MO, Granite City, IL, and Sikeston, MO.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Skilled and Dedicated Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The role involves maintaining and repairing various types of trailers, ensuring safety and operational readiness. The position is available for Monday–Friday, 6 am–midnight shifts and offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, training, and career growth.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of trailers to identify issues and necessary repairs.
  • Perform routine maintenance on trailers, including brake adjustments, tire rotations, and electrical system checks.
  • Repair or replace damaged components such as axles, brakes, and suspension systems.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical problems effectively.
  • Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely while performing repairs or moving trailers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, always adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair tasks.
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on trailers – chassis – light truck repairs.
  • Experience with repairs including brakes, air system, lighting, landing gears, and doors.
  • Major body work including panel replacement and bottom/top rail repairs.
  • Some welding experience.
  • Work independently and safely.
  • Be a dependable team player.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations.
  • Use major shop tools and diagnostic equipment provided by the company.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience working on diesel trucks and/or truck trailers.
  • Strong background in trailer and vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and Caterpillar machinery.
  • Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Punctuality.
