As a Commercial HVAC Journeyman Service Technician, you’ll be in the field, solving complex problems, and delivering solutions customers can count on. What You’ll Do- Inspect and maintain air‑conditioning and HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in heating and cooling units
- Install, replace, and calibrate HVAC equipment, including thermostatic controls and liquid lines
- Service refrigeration equipment such as refrigerators, ice machines, gas packs, and heat pumps
- Maintain chilled and hot water supply systems and adjust internal control systems
- Assemble and install metal ductwork and assist in HVAC system planning and design
- Ensure compliance with City, State, and EPA regulations by maintaining detailed maintenance records
- Identify and mitigate risks to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with management to support safety and operational standards
- 5+ years of practical working experience in the HVAC industry
- Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs, and to stand, crawl, sit, and squat for extended periods; ability to climb ladders and work on rooftops
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid and current driver’s license and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier
- Basic understanding of building automation controls
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using Salesforce and Service Max is a plus

- Steel‑toed boots, Carrier‑branded uniforms with FR protection, HVAC gloves, hard hats, and face shields
- Standard safety goggles provided, with an option for prescription eyewear if needed
- Fall protection where required, plus respirators and earplugs as needed
Benefits are provided under applicable union agreements and generally include medical insurance, retirement, tuition reimbursement, vacation, holidays, and other time off. Eligibility and specific benefits vary by agreement.
Pay RangeThe hourly rate for this position is between $38.00 and $76.00 per hour. Factors that may affect pay within this range include skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
