About the Role
As an HVACChiller Technician at Carrier, you will play a vital role in supporting mission‑critical cooling infrastructure. The position focuses on startup, commissioning, warranty, and service work for complex chiller systems. You’ll be the trusted face of Carrier, applying technical expertise to installations, repairs, and maintenance while ensuring customers experience confidence and reliability.
Responsibilities- Perform startup, commissioning, warranty, and service work on chillers.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions and execute scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units.
- Review and interpret regulatory requirements, technical documents, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Cultivate strong customer relationships and ensure timely escalation of issues.
- Prioritize safety by adhering to licensing requirements, operating equipment safely, recognizing hazards, completing safety training, and implementing effective safety measures.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- EPA Refrigerant Certification.
- 5+ years in Commercial HVAC industry.
- 3+ years experience with chiller systems (air‑cooled/centrifugal).
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb a ladder, and work on rooftops.
- Ability to stand, crawl, sit, and squat for extended periods.
- Valid and current driver’s license; be insurable by company’s insurance carrier.
- Basic understanding of building automation controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Service Max (valued).
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification (valued).
- 401k participation.
- Paid travel time after the first hour and on‑call schedule with rotations every 7–8 weeks.
- Company‑provided vehicle with gas cards.
- All necessary tools provided.

Pay Range: hourly rate $38.00 – $76.00 per hour, depending on skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
