Jarraff Operator

The Jarraff Operator operates heavy equipment of various types to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines. Must have past experience operating a Jarraff for this position.

Essential functions include following and enforcing safe practices, assisting in preparing equipment, operating equipment as directed, maintaining and repairing equipment, assisting other crew members, cleaning up debris, setting up barriers, staying informed on new equipment and practices, tracking mileage, and performing duties for storm work as needed.

Supervisory responsibilities include no direct reports.

Experience requirements include prior heavy equipment operating experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred. High School diploma or education equivalent preferred.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities include knowledge of daily maintenance and safe operations of all equipment, physical strength, ability to work outdoors under varying weather conditions, first-aid certification and CPR, ability to wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), good vision, ability to maintain a Driver's License or CDL and DOT Medical Card, ability to communicate, endurance, and ability to travel for storm restoration work when needed.

Position requires passing a background check and drug screen. Must meet I-9 requirements.
