Job Overview

We are hiring a construction/industrial laborer to support a variety of field tasks including grading, concrete placement, and equipment assistance. The candidate will work under the supervision of a Grading Foreman or Dumping Foreman on industrial construction sites or fabrication shops.

• Practice safety rules and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Use hand and power tools safely.
• Report to and assist the immediate supervisor.
• Perform quality work according to project specifications.
• Be accountable for all tools and materials at the end of the shift.
• Work well as part of a team.
• Measure distance from grade stakes; drive stakes; stretch tight line.
• Grade stacks from lumber for reuse.
• Level earth to fine grade specifications with shovel to assist pipe laying, sub‑grade preparation, and other excavations.
• Direct other laborers in dumping concrete into forms.
• Erect shoring and braces; paint pipe joints with sealing compound.
• Assist in setting pumps and well‑points.
• Assistance heavy equipment operators in aligning and moving cranes, power shovels, backhoes, verifying grades, and signaling operators.
• Direct truck drivers and scraper operators to dumping positions to maintain grades.
• Work in a concrete paving crew, adding or removing concrete in front of finishing machines to meet correct grade.
• Occasionally use small power tools.
• May work as lead man in a labor crew.
• Exercise independent judgment to plan routine work and expedite phases without being told every detail.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Comply with the company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy.

• Some industrial or construction general labor experience.
• Post‑offer drug/alcohol screening and physical evaluation.
• Must have the physical ability to climb, balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, or in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations).
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights and in confined work spaces.
• Can carry or lift items up to 50lbs; may require assistance for heavier loads.
• Must stand or walk for long periods on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel).
• Must be clean‑shaven and able to work while wearing a respirator and other personal protective equipment when required.
• Must be able to work extended hours on your feet.
• Must be clean‑shaven, have long sleeves, steel‑toe boots, and comply with client safety equipment requirements (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard).
• Must pass a physical examination and safety training as required by the company.

Some industrial/construction/general labor experience is required. Post‑offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation must be completed.
