Job Overview

Primary job responsibilities include:

• Practice safety rules and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Use hand and power tools safely.
• Report to and assist the immediate supervisor.
• Perform quality work as determined by project specifications.
• Accountable for all tools and materials at the end of each shift.
• Work well as part of a team.
• Perform terminations up to 1500V AC and DC.
• Read construction drawings and understand construction specifications.
• Have a basic understanding of electrical systems.
• Install underground cabling and conduits.
• Run basic electrical test equipment.
• Work with, train, and mentor helpers.
• Comply with the company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy.
• Pass a physical examination, if required by the company.
• Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, and stairways.
• Perform lower body motions (stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl) and work at elevated heights or in confined spaces.
• Carry up to 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials, with assistance if necessary.
• Stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Work extended hours on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel).
• Maintain a clean-shaven appearance and wear required personal protective equipment such as respirators.

• One (1) to four (4) years of experience in the specified skill (depending on the mechanic level).
• Pass a post‑offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Complete the company’s new hire orientation quiz.
• Proficient in using safety equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard).
