About The Role
As a CBRE Electrician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. You will provide support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. The role is on site, Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 3:30.
What You’ll Do- Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
- Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems: valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, etc.
- Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.
- Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Provide efficient and reliable service.
- Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
- Have broad knowledge of own job discipline.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
- Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3‑4 years of job‑related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
- OSHA‑30 and/or NFPA
70E, Highly Preferred. - Electrical Journeyman's license preferred.
- Industrial‑electrical experience advantageous.
- Meet physical requirements: stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products:
Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. - Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
- Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Advanced math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, commissions.
