Heavy Equipment Operations & Management Instructor

State Technical College of Missouri is accepting applications for a full time, 9-month annual contract, exempt, and benefit eligible instructor position for the Heavy Equipment Operations & Management Program.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of five years of experience in the heavy equipment operations industry; as well as excellent communications, computer, and interpersonal skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of the industry standards and safety regulations.
• A bachelor's degree or the willingness to earn one.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior teaching/training experience; especially in a hands-on or vocational setting; as well as five or more years of related work experience in Construction Estimation.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong proficiency in Excel and construction estimating software
• Solid understanding of construction means, methods, and materials
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to perform Quantity takeoffs and cost modeling
