We're seeking a motivated Plumbing Sales Specialist in St. Louis to support our Plumbing Installation Department. In this role, you'll primarily operate sewer inspection and locating equipment, diagnose underground plumbing issues, and provide customers with long-term solutions. While experience is preferred, it is not required—we provide training for individuals with strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn.

- Use camera equipment to assess line conditions.
- Use line locating equipment for accurate mapping of Sanitary, Storm, and Water line systems.
- Listen to the needs of our customers, assess, and create solutions to meet their needs and wants.
- Create proposals that are accurate, complete, and easily transferred to our Fulfillment/ service teams.
- Establish customer rapport to build relationships with our customers and support them through the buying process.
- Learn and understand city requirements, permits, and regulations.
- Partner with our fulfillment/ service team, and our customer experience teams to ensure overall success.
- Be organized, motivated, flexible, and a team player.
- Communicate with customers in a clear, confident manner throughout the entire experience so that they are aware of what is going on inside their home/business.
- Adjust communications to provide the best customer experience possible.
- Create detailed job notes in the customer's account for future reference.
- Teach and learn by sharing thoughts and experiences with coworkers in meetings and one-to-one interactions.
- Try new ideas and recommend process improvements to your manager to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Communicate frequently with dispatchers so that they know the status of each job for scheduling purposes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in customers' properties and company vehicle.
- Work safely and help ensure that coworkers also work safely.
- Technical experience is not required, but sales experience is.
- Previous In‑Home Services experience is strongly desired.
- All employees must consider safety as their primary job. General knowledge of safe working practices and federal/state OSHA requirements is required as applicable.
To adequately perform the duties of this job, the employee is regularly and routinely required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, reach, handle controls, hear, and talk. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 50 lbs and up.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment can vary depending on the season and scope of work; employees are required to work outdoors throughout the seasons. The work environment will subject employees to continual interruptions and changing priorities. Effective, consistent, and constant communication with customers, vendors, co‑workers, and others is required.
