Protect Homes from the Ground Up
Are you a hands-on, hard-working individual who isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and get a little dirty? Do you prefer a physically active job where you can see the immediate results of your hard work, rather than sitting behind a desk all day?
Wondering who can provide you with industry-leading training, a dedicated company vehicle, and a rock-solid career path in an essential industry? ORKIN CAN. At Orkin, we are looking for a dedicated Termite & Moisture Control Technician to join our team. In this specialized role, you will be the ultimate defender of our customers' homes. You will not only protect properties from destructive termite damage but also tackle attic and crawlspace environments to implement crucial moisture control solutions as well as much needed insulation services.
WhatYou Will Do
- Termite Treatments:
Safely applying liquid treatments, installing baiting systems, and performing trenching around the foundations of residential and commercial properties to eliminate and prevent termite colonies. - Crawlspace & Attic Solutions:
Installing vapor barriers, encapsulation systems, dehumidifiers, and specialized insulation in crawlspaces and attics. You will provide services to control moisture and prevent wood decay, fungi, and pest habitats. - Thorough Inspections:
Navigating tight spaces, including under homes and in attics, to assess structural wood, identify signs of pest activity, and evaluate moisture levels. - Tools & Equipment Operation:
Utilizing hand tools, power tools, and other equipment needed for trenching, drilling, and installing moisture barriers. - Customer Communication:
Explaining the treatment and installation process to homeowners, answering their questions, and providing excellent customer service.

First and foremost, we seek individuals who possess high moral standards and have a desire to help people. - Physical Toughness:
This is a physically demanding job. You must be comfortable working in tight, confined spaces (like crawlspaces and attics), climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, and working in varying weather conditions and temperatures. - Hands-On Mentality:
Experience in construction, landscaping, HVAC, pest control, or general manual labor is a huge plus, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are most important. - Independence & Reliability:
The ability to manage your daily route and complete complex installations autonomously with a high standard of quality. - Requirements: A high school diploma (or equivalent), a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a background check, physical, and drug screen.
- Take-Home Company Vehicle:
Complete with a gas card and maintenance covered by us. - Industry-Leading Paid Training:
We will teach you everything you need to know to become a licensed pest control professional at our award-winning training facility. - Competitive Pay:
We offer competitive pay along with bonus opportunities, commissions and growth opportunities. - Comprehensive Benefits:
Medical - Retirement Planning: 401(k) plan with a company match.
- Work-Life Balance:
Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid company holidays. - Unmatched Stability:
Work for a 120+ year-old industry leader in an essential, recession-resistant industry.
