Maintenance Specialist

Location: Valley Park

Lutheran Senior Services - 3380 Lake Bend Drive - Responsibilities:
Completes work orders as assigned through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to repair or install equipment and machinery or HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, concrete, locks, grounds work;
Prepares apartments to bring them online, including painting, patching, making repairs, and any other tasks necessary to make unit ready for move in;
Performs HVAC upkeep and repairs, tracks inventory, recommends purchases, and completes reports;
Conducts equipment maintenance, testing, lubricating, cleaning machinery, and reporting any equipment malfunctions, repairs or replaces defective items;
Assists in maintaining the appearance of the main buildings, outside buildings and grounds, including snow removal and salting;
May be responsible for conducting inspections and drills (“Life Safety”) including sprinkler inspections, fire drills, electrical inspections, bed inspections etc.;
May be required to perform painting (making residential units ready for move in, and painting in common areas);
Skilled painting may comprise 80% or more of certain Maintenance Specialists’ job duties, and if so, that Specialist will be designated as that location’s primary painter
