Arkansas Industrial Machinery Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Tavoron, has been the region’s leading industrial productivity services company serving the manufacturing and processing industries with both equipment and services including compressed air, vacuum, blowers, and cooling water systems. We continue to grow and need an additional full-time air compressor service technician. We currently have an opportunity for a Field Service Technician who wants to succeed in a long-term career with us.
This position blends your electrical and mechanical aptitudes so if you believe you have superior troubleshooting talent, accurate record keeping habits, are organized with disciplined work habits, moderate to good computer proficiency, and good interpersonal communication skills we'd love to hear from you.
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of air compressors, compressed air dryers, filtration systems, and related equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to manufacturer and company standards, ensuring equipment reliability and optimal performance.
- Install air compressors and auxiliary components, including piping, controls, and electrical connections.
- Interpret and work from equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers to explain service findings, recommendations, and maintenance needs.
- Complete service reports, documentation, and inventory tracking accurately and on time.
- Maintain professionalism, safety awareness, and pride in workmanship in all customer environments.
- Participate in on-call rotations, overtime, and travel as required.
- HVAC experience and EPA certification are considered strong assets.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in field service, maintenance, or repair of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience servicing air compressors, compressed air dryers, or refrigeration systems.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, including 3-phase power, control wiring, and troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical skills related to rotating equipment, pneumatics, and fluid systems.
- Competent in diagnosing issues quickly and accurately using meters, gauges, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple service calls, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Moderate to good computer proficiency for service documentation, emails, and work orders.
- Relevant certifications in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems are a plus.

Preferred Education And Experience- 1-2 years of previous mechanical/service experience.
- Troubleshooting skills are a necessity.
- High School or Vocational School Mechanical program preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
