Fire Extinguisher Technician

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and maintain NFPA Fire Extinguisher Technician certification.
  • Inspect, maintain, service, and document portable fire extinguishers at customer locations and in-house.
  • Learn and become proficient with our fire extinguisher management/inspection software and Google Workspace.
  • Provide professional, courteous, and effective communication with customers and coworkers.
  • Complete accurate documentation of customer services.
  • Safely operate a forklift and other equipment as required.
  • Properly break down and dispose of condemned fire extinguisher cylinders in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Assist fellow team members with service and fieldwork.
  • Maintain an organized service schedule and necessary supplies in the company work truck.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must pass a drug test and background check.
