Normandy Schools Collaborative is seeking a dependable and skilled General Maintenance professional to support the upkeep, repair, and efficient operation of school buildings and facilities. Employees in this role are responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks across multiple trades to ensure safe, clean, and functional environments for students, staff, and visitors. Work involves routine maintenance, basic repairs, and troubleshooting related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems.

Duties may include tasks such as changing light fixtures, repairing leaking faucets, replacing ceiling tiles, assisting with HVAC filter changes, clearing clogged drains, patching drywall, painting, and performing preventive maintenance inspections.

Reports to: Supervisor, Maintenance Services

Pay Grade:Auxiliary

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  
  Knowledge of basic construction and routine maintenance and repair procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbally)
• Ability to operate hand and power tools
• Ability to work independently
  
  Ability to pass Basic Skills Test

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Knowledge of basic techniques of minor repairs and building and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment.
• Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies.
• Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Ability to pass Basic Skills Test
• Ground Maintenance

Power tools (drill, saw, etc.), hand tools, welder (gas and electric air), concrete mixer, mower, weed trimmer, blower, edger, and garden tools.

• Strenuous walking, standing, and/or climbing
• Heavy lifting and carrying
• Work outside and inside
• Exposure to hot and cold temperatures
• Exposure to dust, toxic chemicals, and materials
• Slippery or uneven walking surfaces
