About the Position

Crew Leader duties vary depending on the setting in which they work and their level of specialization. They usually work in residential settings, and construction sites where they will oversee projects and lead crew members in addition to performing physical tasks, assist in the repair, replacement and install of basement waterproofing systems, exterior drainage systems, foundation stabilization, and concrete leveling tasks.

Crew Leaders will also operate heavy equipment such as mini-excavators and skid loaders and be expected to pull trailers hauling such equipment. Additionally, Crew Leaders are expected to record project data on hand written materials as well as specially designed computer programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Overseeing and providing quality installation and repair of foundations and basements, drainage systems and other concrete leveling services.
  • Interacting with customers, management and crew members about projects and jobsites.
  • Responsible for cleanliness and organization of jobsites, work spaces, and company vehicles
  • Handling and transporting materials and equipment.
  • Recording project data on hand written materials and computer programs.
  • Handle and use power tools (such as Jack hammers, drills, saws).
  • Mix, pour, and finish concrete (hand trowel finish)
  • Use machinery (e.g. mini-excavators, skid loaders, and forklifts) when needed.
  • Provide instruction to crew members performing manual labor tasks (e.g. digging, stacking up goods)
  • Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions.
  • Digging trenches and compacting soil
  • Reading and following plans, blueprints, or scopes of work
  • Continuance of training and learning all aspects of the jobs
  • Vehicle and equipment maintenance
  • Job duties include but are not limited to all previous mentioned duties.
